Jake Paul Slams New York Canelo Vs Crawford Presser

Boxer and promoter Jake Paul has gone from influencer to now head of MVP Promotions which is putting on big fights in boxing.

They were the first to bring Netflix to boxing and have signed great fighters like Amanda Serrano, Katie Taylor and more.

Paul is also creating world title fights in men’s boxing on many of his own cards.

Paul took issue with the big Canelo vs Crawford NYC presser yesterday and went off on it on the X platform:

Paul’s head of MVP said on the X platform:

Good points but as well it is the first time TKO and others and Netflix are properly getting involved in a pound for pound rated fight.

A proper world title fight in boxing.

So no harm in the first few pressers just letting fans know what’s going on, who’s involved and so on.

Boxing fans are not stupid and they deserve to be educated and informed of major changes in the boxing industry and boxing’s business.

Specifically when it effects big fights being made.

Because fans want to see the big fights between the best fighters in the world happen.

It should always be about the fights and the fighters.

Without the fights and big compelling matchups of interest to fans there are no professional fighters in the first place.

As without the fans paying there is no prize fighting to begin with as there would be no demand for it.

There’s huge demand for professional boxing now and will be for some time in the time ahead.

An old saying in America but very true, the customer is (mostly not always) right.

Make the fights the fans want to see and boxing grows and the fighters do better, the fighters really win then more then ever.

Of course fighters first, of course, but fights close second.

As one of the great promoters from the UK once said, and he’s still right:

“It’s all about the fights.”
