Canelo On 37 Being The Magic Number For Him

Canelo Alvarez is readying himself for certainly one of if not the biggest boxing event of his life he’s ever been involved in as a fighter.

And sure, the Mayweather fight and other fights he’s had with Golovkin and other were huge pay per view events that made huge money.

But none of them had the UFC, WWE, Dana White and Netflix promoting them?

For pure power of promotion and worldwide corporations involved in this fight, it is unequalled and a first of its kind ever in boxing.

Canelo On 37 Being The Magic Number For Him

Speaking ahead of the September 13th super fight Canelo told Mail Online Boxing:

“I always say 37 is a good time to go. It’s not because I can’t be in boxing anymore, but sometimes you need to do something else. I’ve been a professional fighter since October, and I’ll turn 20 years as a pro then. That’s a lot of years, so we’ll see.”

The fight is on September 13th so the above means this is the last time we’ll ever see Canelo in a professional boxing.

If he sticks with it and moves on to something else.

He has many successful interests outside of boxing so that won’t be an issue.

He will want to go out with a bang though and a big victory against Crawford if that is the case.

A clever boxer Canelo and a heck of a fighter all round.
