Mexican boxing super star and the main man who is an active pro fighter in boxing, Canelo Alvarez, has finally cleared some things up from a while back.
Some because of his red hair mentioned before that he had Irish heritage in his family blood line history.
Some even thought this to be true.
Not the case.
Canelo Finally Sets The Record Straight On Irish Heritage Reports
Speaking to Piers Morgan Canelo confirmed he is 100 per cent not Irish, nor was his grandfather Irish:
“No, I’m not Irish. But yes, I was picked on for my red hair and freckles. At six, my father had me sell ice creams at a bus station, and people would tease me. When I was 11, I beat up a bully outside our house and made his nose bleed. That moment felt great. I was playing soccer then, but after that punch, I knew boxing was for me.”
Many boxing fans for a while mentioned that his grandfather had Irish lineage and heritage.
Not the case.
Alvarez takes on Terence Crawford on September 13th in Las Vegas in a super fight at super-middleweight.
One that has captured the world’s attention already.
