Jake Paul next weekend will fight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr at the cruiserweight limit in boxing in a fight that will take place in California.
The event is already getting a lot of attention, largely because of Paul’s notoriety and some wanting to see him get knocked out for bashing up an old Mike Tyson.
Jake Paul Reveals How Long It Took Him To Put On 35 Pounds Of Muscle
Paul has put on a lot of weight for his boxing career in recent years and speaking ahead of the fight to DAZN he said:
“I’m definitely a food lover. I own a fast-food restaurant franchise. I think 200 pounds is the perfect weight for me, but cutting to it gets more challenging as you age and gain muscle. I went from Disney Channel, not working out, weighing about 185 pounds, to training every day for six years straight and gaining 30 to 35 pounds.”
Paul has been boxing at the heavyweight limit at times as well but it appears now he is staying around the cruiserweight division for now.
His opponent Chavez Jr next Saturday is a former world champion mind you and not taking this fight lightly, at all.
As is Jake Paul, he is losing weight now and taking the fight seriously.
