Bob Arum Makes Bold Brian Norman Claim After His Brutal Knockout In Japan

Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum who promotes WBO welterweight champion Brian Norman has made a rather big claim here on Norman.

‘The Assassin’ Norman churned in one of the KO of the year contenders earlier this week in Japan.

A 5th round nuclear bomb of a punch that rendered his Japanese counterpart unconscious (he was checked out of hospital without issue after).

Arum said on the X app:

“We just witnessed the best welterweight in the world in Tokyo. Brian Norman Jr. is a sensational young fighter.”

That’s a big claim even for Arum.

But you know between Mario Barrios, Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis (who’s moving up to super welterweight soon though) and Rolly Romero, some might agree with Arum.

Changing times for the welterweight division at the moment but very exciting times as well.
