Sugar Ray Leonard Says Something That People Agree With And Show He'S Still The Champ

If there is a more well liked and celebrated fighter in boxing history other than Sugar Ray Leonard, we have not heard of him.

Well, Muhammad Ali obviously is number one, but Leonard is not far behind.

The likes of Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield and others also – worldwide brands in their own right – always expanding – always gaining – and always crushing it.

They are always doing talks and sportsmen’s dinners at events with audiences that have nothing to do with boxing or sport around the world, motivation speaking and so on.

But boxing is most important for us, Leonard was one of the great fighters who could do it all.

Box, fight, brawl, fight on the outside, heart, grit, fight on the inside when he had to, combinations, aggression, speed and power.

Look, Sugar Ray Robinson would have mopped the floor with Leonard.

No one in his prime would have come close to Robinson for us in boxing, no one.

But Leonard had this way of being one of the good fellas of boxing that people still respect and always will.

Speaking on Instagram recently Leonard posted the above photo with his kids and said:

“Three generations of legends! Always so grateful for family.”

Good man Leonard.

Leonard had been doing some commentating back in the early PBC days and some for NBC before.

Occasionally you see him around the boxing game at big fights but it would be good if DAZN or TKO or someone could bring him in occasionally for the big mega fights.

Maybe as an analyst and so on, Ray Leonard still has excellent insight and break down of fights still.

If you get more and more big name boxers involved in the game as officials or technical analysts, more and more, it would see boxing expand even further.
