Evander Holyfield Speaks On Muhammad Ali'S 9 Year Death Anniversary

Recently it has been nine years since the great Muhammad Ali passed a way, a very good fighter and a real fighting man through and through in life.

As a boxer many call him the greatest and maybe to many he is, but to us he will always be behind Ray Robinson as number two after Robinson.

Robinson being number one for us pound for pound in boxing of all time.

Respectfully.

But as a fighter and man with heart he was unrivalled Ali in that realm, you know the guy was willing to die basically to win in every fight he was in.

You could say maybe Michael Jordan in the NBA was like that a bit too.

Evander Holyfield Speaks On Muhammad Ali’s 9 Year Death Anniversary

Former cruiserweight and heavyweight champion of the world Evander Holyfield said recently on Ali’s death anniversary this month:

“We lost him on this day, but his spirit, his fight, and his legacy live on forever.”

Evander Holyfield almost always spot on when it comes to boxing.

Ali, what a legend.

Through and through.

Evan if you go back over some of the old fight footage his combinations, timing, movement, footwork and precision was unbelievable.

He was surgical in his precision Ali in the Cleveland Williams fight, professional hitman-like almost.

Quite good to watch even in 2025 for boxing fans new to the sport now as the sport rapidly does well right now and expands and grows in 2025 and beyond.

With boxing now back to its golden days really being on Netflix and big fights happening everywhere in the sport.

Much more to do and much more ahead though.

As for Ali, he will always be a part of boxing.

New fans to the sport in the East and West know that.
