Manny Pacquiao Gets Put On The Spot

Eight-division world champion and now current Hall of Famer living legend Manny Pacquiao soon will look to make the impossible possible again.

Something he’s been doing for years really and all his life, he’s got the real God with him, the main man, so it is no surprise.

Pacquiao takes on Mario Barrios on July 19th challenging for the WBC welterweight world title but PBC challenged him before hand as well.

To a 12 second challenge where they give him 12 seconds to answer each of the following questions as quick as he could:

“Oh, this is called the 12-second challenge. Okay, when you’re in the ring, you need to think quickly on your feet, so we’re going to test that skill outside the ring. Here’s how it works: I’ll give you a category, and when I say “go,” you’ll have 12 seconds to list as many items within that category as you can. Alright, let’s start. First one: name as many boxing weight classes as you can—and go! Okay, okay: mini flyweight, flyweight, junior bantamweight, featherweight, junior featherweight, lightweight, welterweight, middleweight, junior middleweight, heavyweight, light cruiserweight, and cruiserweight—done! Next: how many punches or combinations can you name—and go! Uh, one-two, jab, hook, uppercut, straight, left hook, right hook, and, um, body shot, uppercut—like a one-two. Now, name as many boxing trainers as you can—oh, you want to try it?—go! Garcia, Fernandez—that’s all. Alright, time’s up! This one should be pretty easy: name as many Filipino dishes as you can—and go! Okay, pakora, okay, curry—very good, that was impressive.”

The curry Filipino dish always a good one.

On a training note, Pacquiao is now in the grueling stages of his training and it is important he is getting a little nutrition and repair during this grueling time of training on his body.

It seems to be key more than anything for a 46 year old at the moment.

If he pulls off even putting up a good fight against Barrios, that will be a big achievement in itself.

He is a serious underdog next month.

He has enlisted serious training partners and advisers for the bout however.
