Sometimes in boxing fights that don’t happen that should have and a number of years ago one of those was definitely Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder.
Okay, sure, they are not in their primes but who’s to say Anthony Joshua cannot comeback after defeat?
Many heavyweights have done in their careers, many have lost and comeback, even the greats.
Why Amir Khan Still Thinks Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder May Happen
Former world champion Amir Khan speaking to Spencer Oliver of Talk Sport earlier said of a future Joshua vs Wilder fight:
“Some say Wilder and Joshua aren’t what they were—keyboard warriors, I call them. Commercially, it’s still a massive fight. Their styles—power, speed, movement—match perfectly. One punch could change it, especially in the heavyweight division. If Wilder beats his next opponent, and Joshua tunes up, that fight could happen next. It’d sell out anywhere.”
Wilder returns this month on June 27th in Friday night boxing in a comeback fight.
Joshua is expected to sign a three-fight deal and announce is soon enough in terms of who his opponents will be between this year and next.
Never say never on Joshua vs Wilder.
