Freddie Roach Makes Huge Claim On 46-Year-Old Manny Pacquiao

Speaking in an American TV interview per the Glove Talk YouTube channel, Freddie Roach his head trainer said:

“Manny is healed now and getting back to where he once was. I think this makes it a much better fight right now than ever. He was my next Muhammad Ali for sure. A couple of years later, Mike Tyson walked through the door. Pacquiao versus Barrios shows the old Manny is back—sharp, fast, and determined. Even at 46, he looks like his prime self. Roach reveals Pacquiao wanted this fight post-retirement because boxing is in his blood. He’s a true fighter, and that’s why he’s facing Barrios. Pacquiao, the winner.”

Freddie Roach is one of the shrewdest people in boxing and would not say that Pacquiao is back near his prime unless he meant it.

Roach’s words come with a lot of credibility but that said, Pacquiao is still a big underdog due to Barrios being up to the mark and much younger.

People must realize Barrios is extremely up for the fight as well, he’s stepping in there with now literally a Hall of Fame boxing legend in Pacquiao.
