Boxing’s number one pay per view star Canelo Alvarez of Mexico told the Ring Magazine after the news was made official:
“He’s a great fighter. But he’s not Canelo. On September 13 in Las Vegas I remind the world who runs this era.”
Alvarez didn’t look great in his last most recent fight against William Scull, certainly an off night.
You could say the same as well though for Crawford in recent times when he stepped up in weight.
