Manny Pacquiao Delivers Powerful Hall Of Fame Speech

Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao gave his speech a short time ago ahead of his formal induction into the 2025 Boxing Hall of Fame class.

The eight-division world champion returns to the ring in a comeback aged 46 shortly on July 19th against WBC welterweight champion Marrio Barrios.

Speaking in New York a short time ago ahead of the official International Boxing Hall of Fame ceremony later on, Pacquiao gave a powerful speech.

Manny Pacquiao Delivers Powerful Hall Of Fame Speech:

“Good evening, everyone. First, I want to express my gratitude to God for His countless blessings, including the good health that allows us to gather here today. I also extend my heartfelt thanks to my friend, Ed Brophy, and the Hall of Fame, as well as all the awardees tonight. Your inspiring words and presence mean so much. We are here because each of you plays a significant role in the boxing industry. Your contributions create a legacy that inspires the next generation, particularly young athletes dreaming of becoming world champions. Tonight, we celebrate our collective achievements and the impact we’ve made. Reflecting on my journey, I recall my first professional fight in the United States on June 23, 2001, as an undercard for the De La Hoya-Castillo bout at the MGM Grand. The energy of the crowd and the support of the fans were truly remarkable. Your unwavering support has not only elevated boxing in America but has made it a global phenomenon. I owe my success, in part, to you—thank you. Above all, I am grateful for God’s mercy and grace. We are all here for a purpose: to inspire and leave a lasting legacy for future generations. As a fighter, I am fierce in the ring, but outside of it, I strive to be compassionate, caring, and loving. In a world often marked by conflict, we must show love and unity. Sports, especially boxing, have the power to bring people together. Through our shared passion, we become one family, forging connections and creating memories. Though we are only passing through this world, we have the opportunity to leave behind a legacy that endures. Whether we live to be 100 or achieve great success, what matters is the impact we leave for others to remember. I am honored to stand among champions and fellow awardees tonight, knowing that our contributions will inspire future generations. It’s humbling to reflect on my beginnings—selling newspapers and sleeping on the streets—never imagining I’d be here, speaking to you as a Hall of Fame honoree. This moment is a testament to God’s strength, blessings, and the prosperity he has granted me. Thank you all for your support of boxing and sports in general. Continue to champion the sports you love, as they unite us in unique ways. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow for the final day of the induction ceremony. A special thank you to Ed for inviting me, and I hope to return next year to celebrate more awardees. God bless you all, stay safe, and may the Lord continue to guide and bless you abundantly. Thank you.”

A class act as always from the Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao.

Usually you have to be retired from boxing for at least five years or dead to be considered to get into the Hall of Fame.

Pacquiao is an eight-division champion however, some people get to skip the line.

He’s one of them. Well deserved.

He returns July 19th in Las Vegas to try to become the second oldest world champion in professional boxing history (after Bernard Hopkins).
