The WBC welterweight champion of the world Mario Barrios is no fool and he takes on a living legend next up on July 19th in Las Vegas.
In the form of Filipino great and eight division world champion Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao.
Speaking to Main Event ahead of his upcoming fight with boxing legend Manny Pacquiao on July 19th, Mario Barrios said:
“For me, yeah, man, it’s just being able to have that experience, to be in there with such a fighter. I think Pacquiao is one of those where he has a style that you can’t just mimic. Being there with someone like him—there’s only one Manny Pacquiao—and just being able to have the honor to step in there with a legend and defend my title against him.”
Barrios is balanced and strong mentality, clearly, but while he is respectful with fellow fighters like Pacquiao, he will be coming into the ring with bad intentions.
Looking to take Pacquiao out and spark him cold.
Of course, Pacquiao has other plans and is back now with former long time trainer Freddie Roach in LA training for the fight.
