Caleb Plant suffered a big upset defeat this weekend in boxing maybe the upset of 2025 so far this year in the entire sport.
That’s what professional boxing does at times – it makes a poor man a rich man over night. It always has and always will.
This weekend it was Mexican Jose Armando Resendiz’s turn as he won by split decision over Plant in Las Vegas.
Plant broke his silence on Instagram a short time ago posting the following war movie clip and saying:
“HERE AM I, SEND ME – my favorite place is right on the front line.”
Plant has been through more pain, trauma and carnage outside of boxing in life than most in life and he will know this is just one fight, nothing more.
In military terms above, just one battle, not the war. The war is his whole professional boxing career.
A rematch is very likely and surely it will only motivate him to train harder and to comeback stronger as always, very shortly.
