Darren Till has let both Tommy Fury and his father John Fury have it as regards them in boxing and has unleashed on the Fury family here full force.
Till of course never one to mince his words when asked his thoughts on the fight game.
Speaking to the Stomping Ground, Darren Till said:
“It doesn’t bother me. I did my job. What did I do? I walked the Furies out of boxing. So everyone should be thanking me first, because they’ve terrorized everyone in boxing for years. John’s been a nuisance for years—no one’s been able to stop him. And little old Darren comes along and stops him in one press conference. But yeah, at the time, I was like, “Ugh,” because when I saw the post, Liam in the gym showed me, and he went, “Oh, you didn’t know, Till.” And I was like, “Oh no, I just found out through you, man. Thanks for the news.” I was just like, “You’re pulling out, man? Why are you pulling out? Do you think I’m better than you thought, or are you actually pulling out over the kick?” He never pulled out over the kick, so we’ll never know his real reasons. At one point, he was saying that I was speaking to betting companies—okay, man. At the time, I was a little irritated, but now I’m certainly not, because even Tommy’s doing it. You’re saying I blew my chance, but I’m the one fighting on Misfits’ main event—what you were meant to be fighting on—and now you’re fighting in Hungary on an unknown event for, what, 20k or something like that? I just don’t understand it. But Tommy, obviously, when it comes to brains, he’s got nothing going on up there. I think I said he’s got the IQ of a loaf of bread or something like that, and it went viral. So, yeah, it is what it is, man. If we fight one day, we fight, but I’ll make sure I’m on the side getting the most money.”
Tommy Fury returned to winning ways last week.
Maybe a boxing match with Darren Till can still be made later this year.
It is still a very big fight at the end of the day.
