Jake Paul takes on Chavez Jr next month in a big event in California and the trash talk is intense already to the point Chavez senior is even involved.
Chavez Sr is of course considered the greatest boxer and fighter that ever was born in the country of Mexico.
Ahead of the fight at the first meeting Paul claims Chavez Jr is an embarassment to Mexico and a quitter — and said:
“The Mexicans love me, bro. I’m stepping into my home environment. They love me more than they love this guy—Mexico doesn’t even claim him. That’s just the way it is. I love my Mexican fans; they’ve been rocking with me since day one, and I’m going to show them who the real Mexican warrior is.”
Well, Paul lost out on the Canelo fight not long ago as Alvarez at the last minute told him where to go at the drop of a hat, just like that.
Paul was doing Mexican themed videos that we can assure you were not well received in Mexico or by Mexicans either, making fun almost of Mexican heritage with the cheesiness of some of them.
That said, Paul is a salesman and he knows controversy and violence sells.
This isn’t some old man like Mike Tyson however and Chavez senior himself has said his son is training harder, a former world champion by the way, then he has seen him train in years.
This is no joke for Paul and he is a legit underdog, in theory, Chavez should flatten him within one round if he takes this seriously, which we think he is.
Once Jake Paul gets in their with a proper professional hitman in a top tier fighter in professional boxing, he will be flattened quickly.
Of course Paul will want to prove his wrong.
Good for him.
