Mentally and spiritually, God-fearing Chris Eubank Jr has come a long way like we said he would do, ahead of his recent fight with Conor Benn.
He won the contest by UD and dug deep in the final rounds in what was a modern day classic fight.
Speaking recently on the ‘Diary Of A CEO’ show, he gave a rather quite brilliant view of how he dealt with the enemy in the build up to the Benn victory:
“They threw everything at me (Benn’s team) to get me off track, distract me, take my mind off the task at hand. I never let that happen, and I’m proud of that. I didn’t fall into the traps they set. Every time they set a trap, I saw it, went around it, moved forward—another trap, round it, forward. That’s part of being a warrior. It’s not just getting in the ring and fighting; you have to be smart, cunning, know your enemy, understand what people are trying to do to take you out of your comfort zone, out of your preparation. You have to avoid it and make sure nothing gets into your head, nothing affects what you’re going to do on the night.”
Brilliant.
Trying to get your attention or distract you is the main tactic an enemy may try to use, for any professional fighter to take into consideration.
Clearly Eubank Jr didn’t fall for it and made the enemy pay.
He has come a long way this guy, Eubank Jr. We’re very impressed with him.
If the rematch happens next up, good fight again too.
