Conor Benn Takes Stock On The Weight Move In Chris Eubank Jr Fight

Some dust has settled now on Conor Benn’s close loss to Chris Eubank Jr in the UK recently in maybe one of the best fights in years.

The decision didn’t go Benn’s way but his stock went up yet again after such a great fight.

Speaking to the Wade Concept, Conor Benn said:

“I believe I carried through my intensity all the way through to round 12. Round 11 and 12, he made it sluggish and, you know, falling in and just threw arm shots, scrap, had me on the ropes, pinned me there. Looked all right. I mean, it didn’t look great, but you know, ultimately, I felt like I carried the tenacity, intensity, and ferocity through to the later rounds. And I thought I had done enough to win the fight.”

Interesting on the weight, he was in good spirits recently in New York.

If he stays at the division will also be interesting, if the rematch happens immediately obviously it will be at least at middleweight again.

But after that, it was a big jump in weight for him, likely he will float back around 147 to 154 pounds but time will tell.
