They say that sometimes a fighter learns and gains more in defeat then he does winning, this is the case hear with American Ryan Garcia.
Garcia had been coming back from over a year off out of the ring with ring rust evident last night in New York, dropping a UD loss to the excellent Rolly Romero on the night.
A surprise to some but not to others, afterwards here Garcia made no excuses for the defeat to Romero which got a big response online:
A tough loss for Garcia but one no doubt he will learn from, and already, one he has gained from in the eyes of boxing fans in some ways.
Good to see he him give Romero his props on the win and shake hands straight away.
Class act and that’s what the sport of boxing is all about.
Garcia still will be in big fights and his stock and value is not diminished in anyway at all, if anything it has increased slightly maybe.
Gaining from defeat certainly with the above.
