Oleksandr Usyk the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world readies himself for battle shortly and is not as bullet proof as you might think.
Like anyone, has weakness, but not like anyone, he works on them as well as works on his strengths.
Usyk is well schooled in the art of war but speaking to The Stomping Ground podcast, he lifted the lid on some simple things that annoy him:
“Stupid people. For example, drivers who don’t signal when turning. Also, people who say they have no money, no opportunities, or no power. Everyone has legs, hands, and eyes. Wake up, study, and work. They complain about lacking motivation, but I don’t rely on motivation either. Discipline matters more. Motivation is temporary—like a day, a week, or an hour—but discipline is constant.”
Spot on.
Every day is a chance to improve and be great.
Usyk will chase greatness once again in his next fight, a unification massive heavyweight title showdown with Daniel Dubois on July 19th at Wembley stadium.
The two and their teams are not fond of one another.
