Conor Benn has become a very more real dog in the Chris Eubank Jr fight now and is much less an underdog surely after this latest mishap.
The weigh-ins took place a short time ago, actually earlier then what was advertised on their YouTube channels.
That said, Eubank Jr will have to attempt to weigh-in again now anyway after missing weight a while ago.
Basically he weighed in 160.2lbs on the first attempt and then 160.05lbs on the second attempt. Here’s the reaction thus far, well, some of it:
The weight is 160 lbs so he missed it and has now been fined $500,000 because of a weight clause in the pre-fight contract and he can’t get higher than 170lbs by tomorrow night either by fight time.
He has to weigh-in again tomorrow morning however and get under the 160 lbs limit or he may have to pay a fine of $1 million, if he fails again the morning of the fight.
That is a big advantage now for Benn as Eubank Jr has had to struggle today, quite some bit too.
