Chris Eubank Jr Opens Up On What Made Him As A Fighter

Chris Eubank Jr steps into one of the biggest fights of his life on Saturday but there was one place that formed his fighting more than any.

It wasn’t long ago that he was living under the glare of his father’s legendary career — not the case anymore.

He is advancing and forging ahead now.

Speaking to Ring Magazine’s ‘Unboxed’ segment Eubank Jr said:

“Living in Las Vegas as a youngster, I spent time in professional gyms, watching world champions train and fight. You absorb so much from that environment. I don’t think I’d be the fighter I am today if I hadn’t stepped away from the UK for a few years as a teenager to focus on boxing in that city. Away from the pressure and bright lights. Sparring pros every day, getting beaten up and coming back again and again until I started winning rounds. That’s what built me. That’s what it takes to reach the level I’m at.”

He goes into this weekend as the big favorite against Conor Benn but there is a rehydration clause of 170 pounds for the fight.

So he won’t be able to put on that much after weigh-ins.
