Ryan Garcia Changes His Tone Slightly On Devin Haney

Ahead of a possible and likely rematch in 2025 Ryan Garcia has been studying Haney intensely ahead of his latest bout next month.

Both he and Haney will fight on the same card as one another on May 2nd at Times Square in a massive event in boxing.

Speaking to Ring Magazine podcast in a sit down that included him, Haney and the fighters on the card Ryan Garcia said on his left hook:

“No I mean I’ve always had that in my arsenal since I was an amateur. Everybody knows it. So that’s not going to go away. That’s not going to change. I think I had to fight in spots. Personally I think Devin’s very sharp but I try to give him different looks to catch him off balance, catch him in moments where he’s not prepared. I think I did that well and that’s what gave me the victory. But he’s not going to be easy in the rematch, I don’t expect it. We’re going to come up with good game plans but I’m ready to prove that I can always beat him.”

Sensible from Garcia.

He knows he can’t look past Rolly Romero next up.

Nor can Haney look past Jose Ramirez.

Both need to win for the big rematch to happen later this year.
