Sergey Kovalev had his final fight in the sport of boxing this weekend. Speaking beforehand he spoke on his best moments in his boxing career.
Kovalev knocked out Artur Mann this weekend in Russia to mark his final fight in the sport as a professional.
Beforehand he told Talk Sport of his greatest moments in boxing:
“It’s tough to choose but winning my first title against Cleverly was incredibly emotional. A defining moment in my life. Also unifying the titles against Hopkins and earning a million-dollar check was huge. And, of course reclaiming the title for the second and third times. Those title fight victories were deeply emotional. Each one felt like a milestone.”

People forget who quality a world champion ‘Krusher’ Kovalev of Russia really was.
His wins over Nathan Cleverly and Bernard Hopkins and the fact he was in so many big fights with the likes of Andre Ward and Canelo Alvarez as well.
