There’s a few Terence Crawford vs Jaron Ennis super fight rumors 2025 and thereafter kicking off now it would seem. Is there truth to it, though?
Maybe yes.
Maybe no.
The fact is Terence Crawford is in training camp right now for what he expects is a super fight against Canelo Alvarez in September.
Predicated on Alvarez needing to beat William Scull at super-middleweight on May 3rd next month.
That’s a lot of variables.
Enter ‘Boots’ Ennis.
Jaron Ennis had the best win of his career at the weekend just gone — stopping Lithuania’s first and only ever pro boxing world champion.
Ennis is a world champion at welterweight (IBF holder) and Crawford did box there not long ago.
But Crawford is putting on a lot of bulk at the moment for a likely Canelo fight.
As well, Ennis is only now getting up the pound for pound rankings and really getting his name out there.
For those reasons, 2025 seems unlikely.
But never say never for 2026, however.
