Ireland’s Mick Conlan got back to winning ways on Friday night in the UK and shook off the cob webs.
He won on points against Asad Asif Khan, Michael Conlan hadn’t boxed before that since December 2023.
Conlan basically the ring rust out of his system and did what he had to do.
Crucially though, it came with a decent prize next up from Channel 5 and others in the UK and Europe.
His promoter Wasserman confirmed on X after the fight next up will be a European featherweight title shot against Cristobal Lorente — for the Belfast man from Ireland Conlan.
Good to see Mick back right on time ahead of Saint Patrick’s Day too, the timing of which is very good in all the great things set to happen for the sport soon too.
