Lamont Roach and his team have no disclosed some of their claims in a complaint filed with the Commission after the Gervonta Davis draw.
Per Boxing Kingdom on X Roach’s lawyers claim:
Lamont Roach’s lawyers have also requested that Gervonta Davis be disqualified for carrying hair gel into the ring, which was labelled as an ‘illegal irritant’
“Lamont Roach is the true winner of the fight against Gervonta Davis on the weekend and should be awarded the win via TKO or Unanimous Decision, after scores have been adjusted to reflect the knockdown”
“Lamont Roach’s lawyers have requested one of the following three options be approved by the New York Commission: – TKO win for Roach through DQ, caused by Gervonta removing himself from the fight in round 9. – TKO win for Roach through DQ, due to an illegal irritant being brought into the ring by Gervonta (hair gel). – A decision victory to Lamont Roach after scores have been adjusted to reflect the knock down in round 9.”
Those are the claims.
Ultimately a rematch must happen as it is a huge fight now and that is what the people and boxing fans want.
