The Usyk vs Tyson Fury rematch this weekend in Saudi Arabia has split opinion in the boxing and professional sport world.
Usyk won a unanimous points decision 116-112 on all three judges’ scorecards.
Speaking to Boxing King Media De La Hoya said:
“I think Usyk pulled it off in the second half of the fight. Usyk comes on strong in the second half of the fight. I didn’t see Tyson use many jabs or use his distance. We saw the outcome and Usyk deserves it. I don’t think I did (saw any improvement from Fury from the first fight). I saw Tyson tired. It’s a testament to Usyk’s abilities inside the ring.”
Calls for the third fight have come a lot today.
As have calls for a Fury vs Anthony Joshua fight.
Most likely Usyk will face the winner of Daniel Dubois vs Joseph Parker next year but time will tell.
