We now finally have an official fight date after this fight had to be rescheduled very disappointingly for fans.
Boxing star Gervonta Davis is not really taking on a big name next up in Lamont Roach Jr. and fans will have to wait, even more disappointingly than that, until March 1st which is pretty much killed the buzz around the event now and will need a lot of push from Amazon Prime in the months ahead.
Premier Boxing Champions have confirmed the following on X:
“ON MARCH 1, Gervonta “Tank” Davis returns to defend his WBA Lightweight World Title against WBA Super Featherweight World Champion @OneOf1x live on PBC PPV on @PrimeVideo from @barclayscenter in Brooklyn, NY!”
PBC fighters simply are not fighting enough and are not active enough, respectfully, not least the main star above.
In a time where Turki Alalshikh and all the other promoters and platforms are making monster fighters, very quickly and frequently, all the time, Premier Boxing Champions are badly falling behind, without question.
Hopefully Davis can get a big fight in 2025.
That said, with respect to PBC, they do have at least one monster card confirmed so far for Feb 1 2025 with a brilliant lineup of fights headlined by David Benavidez vs David Morrell.
