It appears Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr may have legs as a fight and talks are underway.
Paul recently beat a 58-year-old Mike Tyson in a heavyweight eight rounder on Netflix that had a tremendous undercard.
Now Paul has approached son of boxing legend Chavez Sr. and per Michael Benson and Mexican news outlet TUDN he said:
“It’s an option, we’re looking into it, let’s see, this week I have a meeting. I’d be interested in fighting a champion, but fighting Jake Paul, for the fame and the media, would put me in a position to fight against others. I’m not looking for it, it’s been presented. It’s not concrete, but let’s see what happens.”
Interesting.
Chavez Jr. has been on a steady comeback to the sport in recent years and likely would make Paul an underdog in that fight.
It all depends on how hard Chavez trains for the fight basically.
