Conor McGregor Finally Breaks His Silence

McGregor Finally Breaks His Silence

Conor McGregor the global UFC fight star and one time professional boxer has taken to X to address some things.

Conor McGregor of Dublin, Ireland captured the world’s attention since he did the impossible and demolished Jose Aldo at his peak within seconds some time ago.

Speaking on an ongoing legal matter McGregor said on the X platform:

“People want to hear from me, I needed time. I know I made mistakes. Six years ago, I should have never responded to her outreaches. I should have shut the party down. I should never have stepped out on the woman I love the most in the world. That’s all on me. As much as I regret it, everything that happened that night was consensual and all the witnesses present swore to that under oath. I have instructed my legal team to appeal the decision. I can’t go back and I will move forward. I am beyond grateful to my family, friends and supporters all over the world who have stayed by my side. That’s it. No more. Getting back to the gym- the fight game awaits!”

The above is very clear from McGregor. He categorically, unequivocally denies the claim and it is important to note the case is a civil one he is appealing, not a criminal one.

Very easy for some to jump on the bandwagon so quickly, no good. Moreover, the claimant only got a small fraction of the money of what was sought.

He is clearly appealing the above and many posts online including this one appear to show he has merit in doing so — see section 10 here which is important to note, again, and to point out clearly that Conor McGregor is 100 per cent not a convicted rapist after this under the law as Keith Woods reports:

“10. The case was thrown out as a criminal case by the Director of Public Prosecutions due to insufficient evidence — twice. This was a civil case where it does not need to be proved “beyond reasonable doubt”, but just found to be more likely than not. The jury was made up of 8 women and 4 men. And lastly, this is NOT a rape conviction, but an award for damages over an assault.”

On a separate note, as some in boxing, and MMA have said today, it is indeed sad to see McGregor not in his sober frame of mind at combat sports events in recent years.

(Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 1 Peter 5:8)

McGregor still has a lot to give to either MMA or professional boxing and outside of injuries that stop him training, he should be training lightly at least six times a week and never leave the gym or his family to keep away from any negative situations.

UFC and boxing fans surely just want to see McGregor back fighting at this point.

Or, simply apply the same mentality as the above to his other ventures outside of combat sports and still use the same mindset for being productive.

McGregor’s sole fight in professional boxing thus far was to Floyd Mayweather some years ago which although he lost, won rounds in against an all-time great in his first pro boxing match and set numerous records in the sport of boxing, some of which still stand to this day.

McGregor has been widely tipped at some point to have another professional boxing match.
