World champion Alycia Baumgardner is linked to a huge fight in women’s boxing with the greatest women’s boxer that ever lived.

The greatest female boxer that ever lived, by some margin too, Claressa Shields, who is still only 29-years-old, could have a huge fight next year if she wants it.

Against Alycia Baumgardner at 147 lbs. here is what Baumgardner said:

I’m not claiming exclusivity, nor did I mention anything about ‘next.’

As I’ve consistently stated in all my interviews, I would fight her at 147—the weight she agreed to—and I’m holding her to that.

It is questionable on whether Shields would come back down to 147 lbs. however though.

Particularly after winning the world women’s heavyweight title recently.

The incentive would surely have to be attractive.
