GGG promoter has pointed to something in the Canelo vs Golovkin fights in heated clash with De La Hoya over Vergil Ortiz scorecards.
Vergil Ortiz Jr. showed last weekend he was not just a big puncher with gifted fists in attack, he showed he is a real fighter who can fight back from adversity, get up off the canvas and still win.
That said, he won a close majority decision and scoring is always subjective and his promoter Oscar De La Hoya and his Ukrainian opponent’s promoter Tom Loeffler (formerly GGG promoter when Golovkin was fighting) have brought up the following on X:
