In the end Team USA only bagged one medal from eight boxers in this year’s 2024 Olympics and many have their theories on why.
Not least two of the biggest names in American boxing at the moment.
One a huge influencer taking on Mike Tyson next, Jake Paul.
The other — the pound for pound American boxing star of the moment Gervonta Davis.
Here is what they both had to say on Team USA’s medal haul and final fight of the tournament this year.
Davis on Jahmal Harvey’s 3-2 loss:
“Me personally.. I thought he won but what do I know..”
Paul added on the final fight of the Olympics for the team:
“Absolute robbery. Omari Jones won every round of that fight with ease. Can’t believe boxing sometimes… **** a real shame.”

This sentiment was also echoed earlier in the games but another boxer for Team USA, a female fighter who called the tournament rigged.
That said, Team USA outside of boxing have done very well in the other sports overall this year and lead the way out of all the other countries still as the gold medal standard bearer for total medal haul this Olympics — in all sports.
