Troubled boxing star Ryan Garcia has come around after completely going beyond what anyone thought possible for racism yesterday.
Garcia was involved in some sort of forum chats, drunk and likely out of his head on other substances, talking to some spurious characters at one point and let himself and boxing down badly.
Now he’s up and about and has apologized for the N-word use and claims to be checking into rehab soon.
Good for him.
One of boxing’s great new young fighters in recent years.
It would be a shame to see him ruin what is a lot of potential in the years ahead.
Bill Haney probably said it best when not to kick a man when he’s down but the type of language used this week is unacceptable.
