In a truly unhinged moment in the ring a fighter actually attacks the referee after the fight had ended. A blight on the sport.
Sometimes crazy things happen in boxing. Granted, but to hit a referee is over the edge.
Too far. This right here needs highlighting:
Good on the referee for giving him a dose of his own medicine.
The fight took place in the Dominican Republic last night.
It was a fighter called Julio De Jesus who punched the referee after he gave the win to his opponent Angel Cruz win in round two of their contest.
The status of the fight result is still unclear due to what happened afterwards.
Ultimately Cruz won the fight.
The fighter above likely will face a lengthy ban from the sport of boxing for his actions.
Boxing can be a crazy sport sometimes but there is simply no condoning the above.
None whatsoever.
