Three World Title Fights Confirmed For Tokyo July 20th In Japanese Boxing Renaissance

Pound for pound star ‘The Monster’ Inoue is not the only man in Japanese boxing making waves at the moment.

In a time where Japan is doing absolutely terrible, truly dreadful and awful as a country and place, really, plummeting with some of the lowest birth rates in the world, now, some good news has come.

Outside of Inoue putting the country back on the world map this year by becoming pound for pound not only one of the best boxers in the world, but one of the best athletes in all of sport, now this card news is official:

  • Junto Nakatani vs Vincent Astrolabio: WBC bantamweight title.
  • Kosei Tanaka vs Jonathan Rodriguez: WBO super-flyweight belt
  • Riku Kano vs Anthony Olascuaga: WBO flyweight strap

All on the same night as Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul and Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano in Texas, USA.

What a night for boxing and professional sport.

The Japanese boxing event will take place in Ryogoku Kokugikan, Tokyo.

Filipino contender Vincent Astrolabio in the main event will be looking to make a bigger name for himself though.

The 27-year-old Filipino now fights out of Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
