Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Confirm Tyson and Paul Submitted Medical Exams, Officials To Be Named Near Fight Night

Mike Tyson confirmed today that his upcoming mega bout with Jake Paul will be a professional boxing match.

Boxing News and Views reached out to the Athletic Commission in Texas responsible for licensing the match for further clarification.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation confirmed some additional details:

What medical tests have Mr. Tyson and Mr. Paul undergone so far by Texas State and how were the results so far?
‘Mr. Paul was already licensed by TDLR to fight in Texas; Mr. Tyson recently submitted the required forms and medical test results. (As a boxer over the age of 36, he was required to submit recent EKG and EEG test results.) Medical records are confidential.’
 
Has the referee and the three judges being appointed for the bout yet and if so, who are they?
‘The referee and judges have not been named yet, and I don’t expect that we will announce the officials until just before the fight.’

The bout takes place July 20th to a worldwide audience on Netflix.
