Leonard Ellerbe Reveals Humble Beginnings Of Floyd Mayweather

Many see the success Floyd Mayweather had in the latter part of his boxing career but if you go back to the early days of Mayweather no one worked harder or did more interviews. No one.

His friend and now Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe revealed 21 years on from the Angel Manfredy fight that Mayweather wasn’t even given a dressing room before this contest:

Some of those Mayweather knockouts and combinations in the early days were brutal.

Where his nickname was ‘Pretty Boy’ Mayweather before later changing it to ‘Money’ Mayweather later in his career.

His combinations, speed of foot and hand were unrivalled in those days.

As his career went on he didn’t throw as many combinations due to constantly breaking his hands all the time.
