This weekend’s big fight and the main fight that counts this weekend sees Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis going back to work.
Against dangerous opponent Isacc Cruz.
It wasn’t long ago that one of boxing’s new biggest stars Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis recorded one of the highlight reel knockouts.
Of the modern boxing era.
Knocking out Mexican boxing hero Leo Santa Cruz.
Something no one had done before.
Or even come close to doing no less:

After some research this week it is clear by far the big fight this weekend is Gervonta Davis.
For American, Mexican, Puerto Rican and all Latin America (including all South America) boxing fans that is.
Nothing against the other fight great fight too but no money in it as seems to be nowhere near as much interest from boxing fans in it in the Americas. The customer is always right.
Never forget it.
Compared to new boxing star in America and Latin America Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis.
It’s all about the fights boxing fans want to see when all is said and done.
Without boxing fans there is no professional boxing at the end of the day.
Without you paying your hard-earned money to attend or watch these fights.
Some of these promoters can get nothing without boxing fans at the end of the day.
Not a penny in their wallets. Not a buck. Not a dime. Not a single cent.
You have more power than you even know. You are the boss. The customer is always right. In this case boxing fans in their respective sovereign individual nations.
Let boxing fans in America, Mexico, Puerto Rico and all Latin America decide which are the fights they want to see most.
Boxing fans need to relentlessly batter, bombard and badger for the fights they want to see.
Great work in this regard the last year or two. Keep it going.
Keep banging the drum to see the best fight the best. Never let up.
This has produced results this year with good fights.
Credit and a hat tip must be given and maximum respect to the fighters and matchmakers that have given boxing and casual sport fans the fights they wanted.
More so in recent times.
They need to do more in 2022.
Errol Spence vs Terence Crawford badly needed.
All media, TV companies and platforms should put their valuable time, platforms and resources into those that stick with them. That reality of it is — that’s what everyone else is doing with their own legal teams. Everyone can only do their best to put food on the table for their own loved ones first and foremost surely. You will also actually be helping boxing worldwide as a sport in a short-term pragmatic sense in the years ahead. By doing this you will be fair to all the boxers too as can only focus your limited, valuable time on so much. Do not be distracted. Boxing overall will actually benefit from this as a sport moving forward. But if big fights need to be made by people working together this should absolutely still be done. If the fights are big enough.
Where fans are genuinely interested in them enough to part with their hard-earned money.
Fook everything else for now.
With the greatest of respect.
Who really cares who it upsets or offends.
It’s just business.
If they don’t like let them go somewhere else.
Without putting on the fights boxing fans genuinely want at the end of the day there is no professional boxing at all.
Focus on the fights that generate the most numbers and business for their platforms, business partners, outlets and TV companies.
You can’t please everyone.
Nor should try to.
Everyone needs to do what is right for yourselves, family and business at the end of the day.
You can’t help no one until you help yourself and your family first.
In a pragmatic short term sense.
Why do you think they recommend putting on your oxygen mask first onboard every plane.
Rather than firstly that of your kids or loved ones seated next to you.
Onboard literally every single plane you can fly on.
Why do they recommend that do you think.
When it is going down in flames and you maybe about to die and meet your maker.
Meet your creator in those final moments here you have here on this temporary planet that won’t last anyway.
Why do you think that is.
Think about it.
Don’t listen to us morons though.
No one knows it all.
Each to their own.
As for boxing fans it’s all about the fights fans want to see in their nations that are relevant to them.
Focus on the fights that boxing fans in their respective localized territories want. Don’t have short memories either. Many promise the world in life and deliver on fook all. Stick with those that produce results. Never betray your values no matter who it upsets. No matter the cost. Opportunity cost in economic terms has to be weighed-up pragmatically to ascertain true value in a measured way in life.
Vote with your wallets and platforms for the fights you want. All roads lead to you. Simple.
If it doesn’t make business sense it doesn’t make any sense at all. At the end of the day. It’s as simple as that.
We will come back to the other fights after the weekend’s big fight with Davis vs Cruz in America.
One Conor ‘Notorious’ McGregor from the world of UFC linked up with Gervonta Davis this week it would appear.
In a rather unexpected way in recent times.
Reminding ‘Tank’ about it going into this weekend’s fight:
What a punch.
No doubt boxing fans will be excited for another showing from one of the sport’s most exciting fighters this weekend.
One of boxing’s biggest hitters.
Still very young and getting better all the time.
Nowhere even close to his best or prime yet.
Like many of these young champions and fighters in boxing at the moment surely.
Roll on this weekend big fight in the Staples Center in LA.
God is good.
The Western world seems to be going down in absolute flames at the moment but at least boxing has some great fights for all us boxing fans to look forward to and enjoy.
Look after yourselves.
Roll on this weekend’s big fight involving Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis.
