Watch: Andre Ward Fondly Remembers Oakland Win Against Dane

Nostalgia is something people have always loved to engage in.

All people are sentimental by nature. Surely that’s part of enjoying one day at a time on the journey in the creation of new positive or productive moments in the up and down journey of life.

Boxing fans are no different surely when it comes to remembering the good times and creating new ones making history every day.

So many great fights and moments to look back on.

There’s not enough time in the day for it.

With all doom and gloom in the world sometimes you just have to say fook um. Focus on the positive. It’s a choice.

Plenty of very good things and a lot to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving Holiday weekend.

One of boxing’s great fighters of the modern era Andre Ward recently was in nostalgic mood this week.

Looking back at one of his great triumphs against Denmark’s Mikkel Kessler.

Andre ‘S.O.G.’ Ward in potent form that evening:

Kessler a serious operator in his time for sure.

One of the unsung fighters of that era in many ways at 168 pounds.

Very technically competent, big heart, buckets of determination and gritty work ethic. Solid jab and punching power.

Other than Kessler we don’t know a whole lot about Danish boxing as there was never a large amount of world champions from there.

Good to do a bit more research on it in the future maybe.

Obviously Brian Nielson and Johnny Bredahl are the two quality Danish fighters that stand out and the other two names many boxing fans will surely remember.

Denmark eh.

Bit of a random one.

We stumbled upon this random Danish artist in recent days.
