Heavyweight Boxing Champion Calls Out UFC Heavyweight Champion

A previously subtle, now more tangibly gradual shift in MMA fighters getting into boxing is taking place.

The other way round though, not so much.

Lineal heavyweight champion in boxing Tyson Fury might change that in a few years.

He has confirmed in various reports after he fights Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua that he is interested in fighting current UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou

In the octagon no less. Wearing four ounce UFC gloves.

While Fury might not be known as a concussive one punch knockout artist in boxing, he certainly can punch.

The second Deontay Wilder fight showed that in recent times.

If you combine that technique and with smaller gloves, obviously a fight with Ngannou would be explosive if the latter did not look to take it to the ground and kept it standing.

Never say never.

With the two worlds meeting between two heavyweight champions, it would transcend all of combat sports worldwide, no doubt.

If it was built over a number of years, with both fighters continuing to win, in theory, it could be the biggest fight of all-time.

In boxing or MMA.
