The right hook at the weekend showed itself to be a very important punch for Gervonta Davis against Mario Barrios.

A shot that floored the latter in round eight.

Clearly something Davis has been working on before the bout.

They say it is the punches fighters don’t expect that do the most damage.

Barrios certainly wasn’t expecting it from the southpaw stance as a lead shot from Davis in round 8.

A perfect example of a fighter transferring training in the gym into real-time in world championship boxing no less.
