Devin Haney was put in there with a high-level operator tonight and was tested accordingly.
He was rocked to his boots at one point and clearly hurt with this:
Good heart and recovery shown by Haney though to get through it.
He went on to finish the fight and win a unanimous points decision.
The above a reminder at this level to him in the future of just how dangerous some of these world level operators can be.
Concentration and focus is needed right the way through.
Good test for Haney at this point.
Some big fights in store later in the year hopefully.
A fight with Teofimo Lopez would be excellent but there’s loads of fights there.
