World super-welterweight champion Jermell Charlo has been building a lot of momentum in boxing in recent years.
Now holding a professional boxing record of 34-1-0 (18 KO) and having avenged his only defeat to Tony Harrison by knockout, he returns to action soon.
He takes on Brian Carlos Castano on July 17th in an undisputed 154lbs. championship bout.
But there’s another super-welterweight that’s been making some noise from Australia that he’s been keeping an eye on.
Tim Tszyu, son of revered former world champion Kostya Tszyu, has shown to have outstanding potential.
Stopping Irishman Dennis Hogan in emphatic fashion earlier this year.
Charlo has been reported to have said the Australian is not worthy of a fight with him just yet however.
Tszyu is 18-0 (14 KO) gets back in the ring himself on June 7th next month against Michael Zerafa.
Should he win, no doubt he’ll be looking for a piece of Charlo later in the year.
