Boxing legends Ray Leonard and Thomas Hearns got together recently in the studio of one Mike Tyson and also Shane Mosley.
Four boxing legends in one place doesn’t happen often.
A rarity.
At one point the old competitive juices started flowing once again.
When speaking on the ‘HotBoxin with Mike Tyson’ podcast, speaking on their first fight Leonard said:
“Well, yeah. (I was) Throwing bombs but I got out of the way. I was elusive, right?”
Hearns replied:
“Well no, you were hurt.”
Leonard said:
“You neve hurt me. The first fight you never hurt me.”
Leonard later added:
“You’re right hand never hurt me. There was nothing to like (about it).”
Classic.
Hopefully they don’t think about a comeback though.
Surely a step too far.
Even for the current trend of former fighters returning to the ring.
