Keith Thurman On What He'd Do If Presented With Crawford or Spence

31-year-old Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman (29-1-22 KO) is currently in the same boat as everyone else due to the Coronavirus and is keeping busy best he can.

When the sport does resume in the future there will be some interesting fights out there for him.

Whether that is this year or whenever.

There’s three names largely that has his eye in the form of Manny Pacquiao (rematch), Errol Spence and Terence Crawford.

Speaking to PBC Boxing Thurman said:

“Crawford knows he can get it. I’m a very simple man when it comes to the fight world and doing business. Be real, send the contract and watch me sign it.”

He went on to speak about what he’d do if he had to choose between Errol Spence and Terence Crawford:

“Next fight, I could debate on it. If it’s not exactly what I want which is the Manny Pacquiao rematch, there are good fights out there that could let me reinstate some form of dominance in the welterweight division before I go into a Crawford or Spence. If I’m presented with both at the same time I’d go Spence over Crawford. Spence has priority over Crawford. At the end of the day Spence has two belts. He has more pull, more weight in the welterweight division. Terence Crawford has done tremendous throughout his career. I’m still not a fan of the belt he holds. I’m more interested in the fight itself (with him).”

Indeed, Crawford has found himself in a precarious spot in recent years in terms of trying to secure big fights at 147 lbs.
