Kubrat Pulev Solidifies IBF Mandatory Status With Victory in Fresno

In a fight that went a bit under the radar Bulagrian heavyweight Kubrat Pulev got his boxing career back on track tonight with his latest outing in Fresno.

Earlier this year Pulev made headlines for a now infamous post-fight interview kiss with a reporter but following the matter being dealt with outside the ring earlier in the year, Pulev was free to return to his usual business inside the ropes tonight.

Fighting on ESPN plus, Pulev won a unanimous points victory over Rydell Booker on the Top Rank card.

The judges had it scored 99-91, 98-92, 98-92 all in favor of the winner Pulev.

Tonight’s win improved Pulev’s professional record to 28-1-14 KO.

As things stand Pulev remains the IBF mandatory challenger.

A belt currently held by Andy Ruiz Jr who rematches former champion Anthony Joshua next month in Saudi Arabia.

Pulev should at some point find himself in the ring with the winner in 2020.
