Watch: Rigondeaux Knocks Out Ceja With Big Left Hand

Rigondeaux Knocks Out Ceja

Cuban boxing great Guillermo Rigondeaux continued to show he’s not quite done with boxing just yet on Sunday night.

‘El Chacal’ suffered a devastating career defeat to pound for pound supremo Vasyl Lomachenko last year.

Since then he has been on a re-building mission now fighting on Premier Boxing Champions.

‘Rigo’ now 38-years-old, fought in a WBC title final eliminator on Sunday night against Julio Ceja.

He reeled off his second stoppage win of 2019 so far live on Fox. Here’s how he did it:

Rigondeaux knocks out Ceja hat tip PBC Twitter:

A great punch no doubt but perhaps a poor stoppage from the referee there who could have given Ceja more of a chance.

As for ‘Rigo’ — what next?

Well a shot at the WBC title by the looks of things.

That being said, you’d have to wonder could this be the last year we see him compete at the very highest level in the sport.

He took quite a bit of punishment against Mexican Ceja last night.

A fighter with all due respect likely would not have landed a glove on the Rigondeaux of old a few years back.

Guillermo Rigondeaux improved his professional boxing record with the win to 19-1-13KO.

The sole defeat thus far coming to Lomachenko.
