Middleweight knockout artist Gennady Golovkin formally confirmed his new home in the US that will show his fights as DAZN today.

The news broke late last week in truth.

We knew that it was a six fight deal and one that would see him finish out his career with the new streaming service before today but there were some interesting new small bits of information.

Present was Golovkin, his trainer, a translator and DAZN Chairman John Skipper.

I’ve listened to this old fella Skipper a few times now. Seems solid, good Texas lad.

Nice story about how he turned his life around too following getting fired from ESPN.

Seemed genuine about his commitment to boxing to be fair.

All good stuff really and with the prospect of Golovkin vs Canelo 3 now very possible for late this year, happy days all round really.
